Born out of a real need

US-DER was founded by a group of volunteers who noticed that, as migration and cultural diversity became more visible in Antalya, there was no shared space bringing different communities together. Our purpose was simple: to turn art and culture into a common language everyone can understand, regardless of language, origin or background.

That need still holds true today. We work to build real, lasting bonds between migrant and local communities — not through one-off events, but through regular workshops, solidarity programs and cultural heritage work that make it sustainable.
